Before starting as a summer student in May 2018, I had heard a lot about how supportive FCR is when it comes to their employees. I’d heard so much, in fact, that I honestly didn’t believe it could all be true. Regardless, I decided to find out for myself, and I was not disappointed.
Since graduating university in 2019, I’ve been working here full-time, and I’m truly grateful for FCR’s supportive, collaborative, people-first culture. If it weren’t for the emphasis on healthy work-life balance, the support throughout the CPA program, and all of the great people who were always willing to take time out of their busy schedules to help me, I wouldn’t be the professional I am today.
In 2023, I was promoted to manager. Without a doubt, my development with FCR has not only shaped my management style for the better but also prepared me for the additional responsibilities that come with the role.
There are many events FCR hosts throughout the year, but my favorite tradition is probably our annual Bocce tournament. I’ve never played outside of the FCR tournaments, but I am a competitive guy, so it always ends up being a lot of fun. Plus, my name is on the plaque as one of the 2019 champions (lol). It’s also been a great way to meet coworkers I don’t usually work with, which is always a bonus.
