Maddie is an accomplished researcher with specialized expertise in funding strategy, grant writing, and Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED). With five years of experience applying evidence‑informed decision‑making to program development and strategic planning, she excels at aligning project objectives with appropriate funding opportunities while ensuring compliance with best practices.

She currently leads the Government Incentives Program at FCR, where she develops incentive strategies for a diverse range of projects. Her work includes advising organizations on eligibility requirements, documentation standards, and the strategic use of the Scientific Research and Experimental Development program. She also supports organizations throughout the funding process, including applications to provincial, federal, and third‑party funding bodies, as well as post‑award reporting and compliance activities. She regularly works with organizations such as the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and the Henderson Foundation.

Beyond her professional work, she is deeply committed to education and mentorship, actively supporting students and collaborating with colleges and universities to foster innovation and build research capacity. Her dedication to advancing projects and achieving funding success has been recognized by leading organizations, including  the Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex System (Mitacs), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and Canadian Centre for Excellence.
