I started at FCR as a Staff Accountant in 2020, working mainly on compilation engagements and review engagements for the first two years. Over time, I realized I had a strong interest in tax and made the switch to the tax department, where I’ve now been for the past three years. I currently work out of our Espanola office and recently completed the In-Depth Tax Program, which was a big milestone for me and really helped deepen my knowledge.

FCR has been a great place to grow. The support, resources, and encouragement from my team have made a big difference in my development. One thing I’ve learned is that you can never ask too many questions—there’s always something new to learn, especially in tax.

What I enjoy most about working here is the collaborative environment. Whether it’s a tough file or just day-to-day problem-solving, there’s always someone willing to help or share what they know.

The most fulfilling part of my role is being able to help everyday individuals navigate their tax situations. Tax can be overwhelming and confusing for many people, and it’s rewarding to provide clarity and solutions that make a real difference in their lives.

My Guiding Principle: “Progress over perfection.” It reminds me that it’s okay not to have all the answers, as long as I keep learning and moving forward.
