3. What attracted you to join FCR and has your experience exceeded your expectations?

Initially, I was drawn to FCR due to the immediate opportunity to delve into business valuation, an area of business advisory I was eager to explore. Since joining, I’ve found the support from the partners, principals, and managers invaluable. Their guidance has not only facilitated my pursuit of knowledge in business valuation but has also enabled me to carve out a niche within the firm as an expert in this field. My experience at FCR has certainly exceeded my expectations, thanks to the collaborative environment and opportunities for professional growth.

4. How has FCR supported your professional development and career growth?

FCR has been instrumental in supporting my professional development by generously funding and guiding me through the process of obtaining my Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation. This designation represents a significant milestone in my career journey, and the support from FCR has been invaluable in helping me achieve it. By providing a platform for me to apply CBV concepts and gain hands-on experience in the field, FCR has not only facilitated my growth as an individual but has also opened doors for career advancement that I may not have otherwise accessed.

5. Can you share your view on work-life balance at FCR?

At FCR, I’ve experienced unwavering support for my pursuits outside of work. For instance, I’m passionate about coaching and playing soccer, and during the summer months, I’ve always felt encouraged by the firm to actively participate in community coaching endeavors in my spare time. Additionally, we’ve established a tradition of coming together as a team to play soccer once a week throughout the winter. This not only serves as a s stress reliever for all staff members and helps keep staff fit and healthy both mentally and physically year-round.

6. What advice would you give to someone considering a career at FCR?

For those embarking on their career journey, I would highly recommend considering FCR as an excellent starting point. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience across a wide range of industries and projects. This exposure is instrumental in helping young professionals pinpoint their areas of interest and expertise, whether it’s in audit and assurance, tax, or advisory services encompassing finance, business valuation, mergers, and acquisitions, among others.
