About Thomas

Thomas joined FCR in 2026 as the firm’s Tax Lawyer, providing internal tax expertise and support to our team and clients. His practice focuses primarily on income tax planning, working alongside FCR’s advisors to support clients while complementing their existing legal relationships.

Thomas is a strategic thinker and strives to develop practical solutions to move his clients’ businesses forward, no matter the stage of development. Whether it is an acquisition, sale, reorganization, financing or estate planning, Thomas takes the time to communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner. With a background in family law, bankruptcy and insolvency, and estate planning, Thomas brings a well-rounded perspective to sophisticated tax issues.

Growing up in Sudbury, Thomas graduated from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay in 2019, allowing him to complete his university education entirely in Northern Ontario. Thomas has a great appreciation for his community and serves as President of the Board of United Way Centraide North East Ontario and as a director with the Sudbury Regional Competitive Soccer League.
